Qué llevar para hacer snorkel en Nilaveli

No necesitas una bolsa enorme para una mañana de snorkel desde Nilaveli.
Necesitas pocas cosas para estar cómodo con el sol, el rocío y la sal — y una idea clara de lo que ya cubre el barco. Esta lista es lo que digo a los huéspedes cuando preguntan qué llevar para hacer snorkel en Nilaveli, ya sea una salida corta de arrecife local o un día más largo en el parque nacional.
Soy Sas. Organizamos las salidas desde esta costa. Empaca ligero. Deja en el hotel lo valioso que no necesites en el agua cuando puedas.

En una línea: ropa suave, protección solar, toalla y pastillas para el mareo si las usas — suele haber equipo, agua potable y fruta fresca; confírmalo una vez al reservar.

Ropa y sol

El barco y el arrecife son muy luminosos. La ropa ligera se seca antes si hay rocío. Sombrero y gafas ayudan más de lo que mucha gente espera en una salida corta.
El protector solar va en la piel antes de embarcar cuando sea posible. No lo reaplicques de forma que el exceso caiga al agua sobre el coral. Si tienes una opción más respetuosa con el arrecife, úsala.

Bañador y toalla

Bañador debajo de la ropa o cambio en el punto de encuentro si hay un sitio sencillo. Una toalla compacta basta. Las toallas de playa grandes ocupan espacio y siguen mojadas en la bolsa.

Mareo en el agua

Algunos notan más el barco — sobre todo en aproximaciones a mar abierto o con superficie viva.
Si sabes que necesitas medicamento para el mareo, tómalo unos 30 minutos antes de la salida, según el producto. Ropa suave y mirar al horizonte ayudan a algunos; no sustituye tu criterio médico.

Teléfono, cámara, dinero

El rocío llega a asientos y manos. Una funda seca y segura ayuda si debes llevar el teléfono. Cámaras caras en barcos pequeños son riesgo personal.
Deja efectivo de más, pasaporte y llaves del hotel seguros en tierra cuando puedas. Lleva solo lo necesario para el regreso.

Qué solemos incluir (confirma al reservar)

En nuestras salidas de snorkel suelen incluirse:

• Máscara, tubo y aletas (ajuste comprobado antes de entrar al agua)
• Chaleco / apoyo de flotación cuando haga falta
• Agua potable
• Fruta fresca

Confirma una vez al reservar para que la lista coincida con tu fecha y tipo de salida (arrecife local más corto vs día más largo de parque nacional).
Para Pigeon Island, el paquete completo también incluye entrada al parque nacional y traslado en barco — no es «equipaje», pero forma parte de lo que pagas en ese viaje. En Angel Rock no hay ticket de parque; equipo, guía, agua y fruta son las inclusiones habituales allí.

Día en Pigeon Island vs snorkel local más corto

Qué salida te conviene es otra decisión. El equipaje casi no cambia: ligero, protección solar, listo para el movimiento del barco.

• Ropa de moda de más
• Mochilas grandes que pelean por espacio en el barco
• Drone si no conoces las normas y no tienes permiso
• La expectativa de un mar espejo perfecto cada día

Snorkelling at Pigeon Island and Angel Rock was an incredible and wonderful experience, and Sas and his team were extremely professional and very attentive. At Pigeon Island we saw sharks and turtles – huge ones – as well as colourful fish and beautiful corals. It was so lovely that the next day we went back for the Angel Rock sunrise snorkelling trip – it was incredible. You simply can’t visit Sri Lanka without going on this excursion with this team.

Das Team ist super sympathisch und sehr nett. Wie fühlten uns sehr aufgehoben und willkommen. Der Vibe war entspannt und wir waren sehr lange im Wasser. Super cool Tour, awesome tour guides, had a oot of fun. Everything was as they‘ve explained beforehand. 6am you head out to see the whales, they provide ypu water and fruits. They as well really know their stuff, always were at the right spot to actually see the whales
